Outdoor Sessions

WHERE SHOULD WE SHOOT?
On location…you name it and I will be there. Any open fields for more of a natural look, the beach, or at your home.  Babies and children do best when they are fed and well rested, so try to plan accordingly.  Sessions will last anywhere from 1-2 hours. The best time of day to photograph is in the early evening, just before sunset.
Several consultations via phone or email will also be included to go over location options, clothing choices and the overall look you are seeking from the session.
Your session may last up to 2 hours to allow for multiple clothing changes or snack breaks for young children.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Clothing choice is one of the most important parts of creating beautiful timeless portraits. Remember, you are creating artwork that you will have forever, and if you are going to invest in a custom photographer, I would suggest to invest in a custom outfit or two!

For little ones, I recommend wearing layers as much as possible to add interest and texture. Pettiskirts and ties always make for great pictures! Head accessories are wonderful, like flowers or bows, or different style hats. Knitted hats always look great for winter shoots. Be creative and mismatch a little, for a fun, spunky modern look. For family sessions, pick one or two colors, and everyone coordinate. Also, flowers and bows for the little girls! Feel free to bring multiple changes of clothing or even put all the ideas in a bag and bring them – I can help with this decision.

Some of my favorite clothing items to add to your outfit to give yourself a trendy look:
patterned leggings
chunky sweaters with hoodies
clothing with ruffles
clothing with mismatch patterns
clothing with big buttons
button down polos
clothing with ribbons
knit hats
scarves
ties or bow ties
cowboy boots or rain boots or any boots!
tutus or pettiskirts
bows and headbands
